Current Online Programs​

Our in-person program is temporarily on hold due to the COVID-19 restrictions for the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions. Find a selection of online (virtual) programs that are currently offered below. 

ZOOM CIRCLE TIME

Our circle time is hosted on Zoom, it will include singing, storybooks, dance moves and other fun activities just like as physical circle time.

When it happens: Tuesday to Friday, 10:30am – 11:00am

Patio fun time provides fun outdoor activities for kids in our patio filled with greenery and florals, while parents can relax and chill enjoying coffee and tea. One on one parenting support with family support facilitators service is also avaiable during the time.

To ensure the safety of all of us, we are accepting one family for each slot.

When it happens: Tuesdays, 11:00am – 11:30am & 12:00pm – 12:30pm

Baby Group

CONNECTING SENIORS PROGRAM​

Our online seniors programs include Ipad course, social interaction via zoom, wellness workshops, cooking together and other craft activities.

Adopt a plants Project

At the beggining of a growing season, MOFP is offering a project “Adopt a Plant”. Families can adopt a plant from MOFP and teach children how to grow and care plants and enjoy the happiness of cultivating plants.

IPAD FOR SENIORS​

Use the Internet and connect with your family and friends safely and comfortably.

 

An online video course about using iPad to explore the web, create and share photos and videos.

Our Services

Drop-In Playroom

We welcome everyone with children aged infant to six years old to play in a safe environment, make friends, chat with other parents with a cup of coffee. It’s only $1 a day per family.

Parenting Programs

Our Parenting Programs are educational courses that teach parents and caregivers general parenting skills, and help them to develop and maintain positive relationships with their children.

Seniors Programs

Marpole Oakridge Family Place hosts both weekly and yearly events for seniors. For weekly events please refer to the upcoming events below or refer to the calendar.

Literacy Programs

Literacy is English language learning, life skills development and learning. Connect with us at our weekly Conversation Circles.

Birthday Parties

Host your child’s next birthday party at MOFP. Our facility has a large playroom, a multipurpose room with tables and chairs, a fully equipped kitchen.

Multipurpose Space

Our modern site includes folding chairs, folding tables, projector & screen, white board, coffee maker.

Marpole Oakridge Family Place is a not-for-profit organization which has been supporting families, grandparents, caregivers and children aged 0-6 years for over 43 years. Our purpose is to promote the health and well-being of the community.
