Marpole Oakridge Family Place partnered with the Marpole Business Improvement Association over 8 years ago to supply families in need with a Christmas Hamper.

Over these past 8 years, we have joined hands with numerous businesses, churches, and agencies to be directly involved with the organizing and delivery of the Christmas hampers along with over 20 drop sites for donation boxes. We have seen the program grow year by year. In 2018, we provided Christmas hampers to over 100 people in need. Our goal this year and is support 150 vulnerable families, Seniors, and Adults.

We need your help! You can take part by making a financial donations ($50, $100, $200, $500, $1000) which will be used to purchase gift certificates. 100% of proceeds go directly to the support of families in need. There is no administration fee taken for this program. If you would like to donate or would like to receive a Christmas Hamper, please contact Tracy Beshara; Executive Director at 604-263-1405 or by email at tracyb@mofp.org. All cash donations will receive a charitable tax donation receipt and a Marpole Cares 2019 window decal.

I'm so glad I found this place. The staff is extremely friendly and knew my son's name after the first visit. The family place is very clean and has a great selection of toys, books, dress up clothes, hats, paint supplies, chock and board, baby toys and fresh playdough.
Coffee is fresh brewed everyday for the caregivers and some snacks are provided for the little ones.

Good neighborhood family outreach centre. Monday to Friday drop in program is excellent for parents or caregivers, allowing kids to socialize with other kids. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the centre is moving from its current location to Marine Gateway so may be less accessible for Marpole residents.

A great place to meet our neighbors. Lots of programs, especially for young parents.
