  • Trust – We build relationships rooted in honesty, reliability, and respect.
  • Relationship – We prioritize meaningful, authentic connections with families and the community.
  • Openness – We welcome diverse perspectives and foster inclusive dialogue.
  • Nurturing – We care deeply for the well being of each individual we serve.
  • Growth – We empower families and individuals to learn, thrive, and reach their potential.

Our Story

Our journey began in a private living room in 1978. From there, it moved to a small room at Marpole Oakridge Community Centre, running twice a week by volunteers who relied on donations. It later moved to the heritage building that used to be the old Marpole Firehouse on Hudson and West 70th Avenue. After a flood in 2013, MOFP moved to the Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Society building on Selkirk Street. Today, MOFP is in its own purpose-built space at the Marpole Community HUB building, owned by the City of Vancouver and built by Onni Development.

What We Do

Our programs facilitates an environment for parents and caregivers to form deeper relationships with their children and the community of Marpole.

MOFP added Literacy programs as part of the 2010 Legacy project funded by the 2010 Olympics. To meet the needs of the community, MOFP expanded its programs in 2014 to include programs for Seniors and Vulnerable Adults.
